The athletic complex project is located on the northern half of the 27-acre La Jolla Country Day School campus. The project was completed in several phases over a five year period, concurrent with the overall rebuilding of the entire Country Day campus. Individual athletic-based projects completed during this period included new synthetic-grass football, baseball and softball fields, new football bleachers and scoreboard facilities, field lighting for use during night games, refurbishment of the existing student pavilion building, six tennis courts and construction of a new concessions/team room building. The design of the athletic buildings and facilities was performed by Walt Conwell Architects at a combined development cost of $4.1 million.
