Description
This project
includes three new two-story buildings totaling 25,000
square feet. The two science buildings include wet laboratory
classrooms and a roof-mounted 9.3 kW photovoltaic panel
array. The visual arts building houses classrooms, meeting
rooms and display areas. The architecture of the buildings
represents the regimentation of the science facilities
in contrast to the more free-of-form façade system
of the visual arts building. Also included are a landscaped
inner courtyard and adjacent on-grade parking facilities.
The project was designed by Carrier Johnson Architects
and was completed in September 2008 at a total development
cost of $9.0 million.
